REPRESENTATIVES: Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) - Leeseberg Leeseberg stated next meeting is September 19th here at City Hall. Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) - Angelou Angelou said next Executive Committee meets this Thursday. Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education - Metzbower Metzbower said meeting is next week; probably won't be able to make it; asked if another member could attend. Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) - Renner Renner said the next CTA certification is November 2. M. OFFICIAL REPORTS: Mayor Mayor Kneeland said they are working on 15 projects; could retain 635 jobs; $91.2 in investments; 117 business visits this year; already surpassed last year; asked Teal to give brief overview of ICMA video; she said contacted by ICMA; highlighted handful of communities; getting City of Gahanna Page 5 City Council Meeting Minutes September 5, 2017 played at the conferences; featured on their website; what drew their attention to the City was GoForward Gahanna; that reached the attention of a lot of people; had interviews with people who have partnered with the City; have rights to raw footage and final video; great promotional piece for the City; should have it in the next couple of weeks; unveiled at conference next month in San Antonio; really exciting; very proud of this recognition. City Attorney No report. N. COUNCIL COMMENT Angelou said congrats to the City on the ICMA recognition video; asked if Teal was going to conference in San Antonio; she said she will be attending on behalf of the City. Metzbower echoed Angelou's sentiments; one more thing to boast about our City. Angelou said Happy Birthday to Brian Metzbower. O. EXECUTIVE SESSION - to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedure to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing. A motion was made by Leeseberg, seconded by Schnetzer, to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedure to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing. President Larick requested all of Council to attend the Executive Session in the Law Library.
