SECOND READING OF ORDINANCES: ORD-0051-2017 TO AMEND CITY CODE PART ELEVEN, PLANNING AND ZONING CODE, CHAPTERS 1181, PERSONAL WIRELESS SERVICE FACILITIES, 1149, MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, 1153, GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS, AND 1163, PARKING REGULATIONS, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA. A motion was made by Metzbower, seconded by Renner, that the Ordinance was Adopted. RES-0010-2017 TO ADOPT A STATEMENT INDICATING THE SERVICES THE CITY OF GAHANNA, OHIO, WILL PROVIDE AND ARE AVAILABLE TO THE 1.858+/- ACRE PROPERTY IN JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, LOCATED AT 4200 EAST JOHNSTOWN ROAD IN FRANKLIN COUNTY, PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITYOF GAHANNA UPON ANNEXATION; REQUESTED BY JACK REYNOLDS, SMITH & HALE, AGENTFOR THE PETITIONER; DIRKEN T. Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) - Renner Working with Laurie Jadwin with bridal events; statewide photographer association convention coming to Gahanna for 3 days; Chamber of commerce for taste of Gahanna on October 19 at Columbus Academy; Holiday Lights is coming up quickly; download Gahanna Mobile app. N. OFFICIAL REPORTS: Mayor Anthony Jones, Development Director is in Toronto; American Cities of the Future; received awards; attended high school event, appreciates turn out; rapid response team wants to get involved in City. City Attorney Working on code updates for hotel/motel code. O. COUNCIL COMMENT Metzbower congratulated Harter on Lead by Example award and congratulated Mayor on staff getting awards; Renner said ditto to Metzbower’s comments, said thanks to Mayor for keeping those awards going; wanted to show appreciation to VFW members, is happy to see this passed; McGregor said thanks to City workers for helping with Flea Market yesterday; said Urban Deer program helps car accidents; went to program on bumble bees and heard about bumble bee watch app; City of Gahanna Page 5 City Council Meeting Minutes September 18, 2017 Angelou said award story was incredible; surprised to hear about how much food that brings in to the homeless; Larick said great man; congrats on award; good weather for flea market.
