CALL MEETING TO ORDER - Roll Call: Gahanna City Council met in Special Session on Monday, May 14, 2012, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. Vice President of Council Stephen A. Renner called the meeting to order at 6:17 p.m. The meeting was called to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(c) to go into Executive Session to confer with the City Attorney concerning disputes involving the City, and/or appointed or elected officials or employees, which are subject to pending or imminent court action and under authority of Section 5.40(b) to go into Executive Session to discuss purchase of property for public purposes or the sale of public property through competitive bidding or public auction. Agenda for this special meeting was published on May 10, 2012. Present 6 - Stephen A. Renner, Karen J. Angelou, David L. Samuel, Ryan P. Jolley, Ryan P. Jolley, and Brandon Wright Absent 1 - Brian D. Larick B. EXECUTIVE SESSION: A motion was made by Renner, seconded by Anderson, to go into Executive Session to confer with the City Attorney concerning disputes involving the City, and/or appointed or elected officials or employees, which are subject to pending or imminent court action and to go into Executive Session to discuss purchase of property for public purposes or the sale of public property through competitive bidding or public auction.. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 6- Renner, Samuel, Angelou, Jolley, Anderson and Wright Absent: 1- Larick Council rose to Executive Session with Vice President Renner requesting that Mayor Stinchcomb, City Attorney Ewald, Development Director Jones and Special Counsel Pat Cornelius attend the executive session.
