Sherwood, MMC, Clerk of Council City Council - Special Meeting Minutes December 9, 2013 A. CALL MEETING TO ORDER - Roll Call. Gahanna City Council met in Special Session on Monday, December 9, 2013, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. Vice President of Council Ryan P. Jolley called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was called to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(d) of the Council Rules of Procedure to prepare for, conduct or review negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees concerning compensation or other terms and conditions of employment and under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedures to discuss the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of a public employee, official, licensee or regulated individual unless such public employee, official, licensee or regulated individual requests a public hearing. Present 7 - Ryan P. Jolley, Ryan P. Jolley, Karen J. Angelou, Beryl D. Anderson, Brian D. Larick, Brandon Wright, and Thomas R. Kneeland Absent 1 - Stephen A. Renner B. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Motion by Anderson, seconded by Angelou, to go into executive session under authority of Section 5.40(d) of the Council Rules of Procedure to prepare for, conduct or review negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees concerning compensation or other terms and conditions of employment and under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedures to discuss the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of a public employee, official, licensee or regulated individual unless such public employee, official, licensee or regulated individual requests a public hearing. ROLL CALL: Voting yes: Anderson, Angelou, Jolley, Kneeland, Wright. Larick arrived at 6:32 p.m. -- Jolley requested that Mayor Stinchcomb, City Attorney Ewald, Sue Wadley, Jennifer Teal, Jamie Leeseberg, Michael Schnetzer, and outside counsel, Mike Underwood, attend the Executive Session. Council rose to Executive Session at 6:32 p.m. Council declared a recess at 7:00 p.m. and reconvened in Executive Session at 7:02 p.m. Kneeland exited the Executive Session at 7:55 p.m. Council rose to report from Executive Session at 8:13 p.m. C.
