Renner Michael Schnetzer Kimberly McWilliams, CMC, Clerk of Council City Council - Special Meeting Minutes January 27, 2014 A. CALL MEETING TO ORDER - Roll Call. Gahanna City Council met in Special Session on Monday, January 27, 2014, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. President of Council Brian D. Larick called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was called to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of Procedure to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of a public employee, official, licensee or regulated individual unless such public employee, official, licensee or regulated individual requests a public hearing AND to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(d) of the Council Rules of Procedure to prepare for, conduct or review negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees concerning compensation or other terms and conditions of employment AND 5.40(g) of the Council Rules of Procedure to consider confidential information related to the marketing plans, specific business strategy, production techniques, trade secrets, or personal financial statements of an applicant for economic development assistance, or to negotiations with other political subdivisions respecting requests for economic development assistance. Present 7 - Karen J. Angelou, Ryan P. Jolley, Thomas R. Kneeland, Brian D. Larick, Jamie Leeseberg, Stephen A. Renner, and Michael Schnetzer B. President Larick requested that Mayor Stinchcomb, City Attorney Ewald, Sue Wadley, Jennifer Teal and outside counsel, Mike Underwood, attend the Executive Session. Council rose to Executive Session at 6:32 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Angelou, Jolley, Kneeland, Larick, Leeseberg, Renner and Schnetzer RECESS - City of Gahanna Page 1 City Council - Special Meeting Minutes January 27, 2014 Council declared a recess at 7:00 p.m. A motion was made by Leeseberg, seconded by Renner to recess at 7:00 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 7- Angelou, Jolley, Kneeland, Larick, Leeseberg, Renner and Schnetzer Council reconvened in Executive Session at 8:46 p.m. Council rose to report from Executive Session at 9:39 p.m. C.
