Gahanna City Council met in Special Session on Monday, April 22, 2019, in the Committee Room of City Hall, 200 South Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio. President of Council, Brian Metzbower, called the meeting to order at 7:39 p.m. Agenda for this meeting was published on April 19, 2019. A motion was made by Renner, seconded by Leeseberg, to recess the Council Special Meeting at 7:41 p.m., in order to resume the Committee of the Whole Meeting. The motion carried by the following vote. Yes: 6- Larick, Leeseberg, Renner, McGregor, Metzbower and Angelou Absent: 1- Schnetzer EXECUTIVE SESSION- to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing; and 5.40(c) to confer with the City Attorney for the public body concerning disputes involving the public body that are the subject of pending or imminent court action. Immediately following the adjournment of Committee of the Whole at 8:03 p.m., Council reconvened the Special Meeting. A motion was made by McGregor, seconded by Leeseberg, to go into Executive Session under authority of Section 5.40(a) of the Council Rules of City of Gahanna Page 1 City Council - Special Meeting Minutes April 22, 2019 Procedure to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual, unless the public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual requests a public hearing; and 5.40(c) to confer with the City Attorney for the public body concerning disputes involving the public body that are the subject of pending or imminent court action. President Metzbower requested that Council and City Attorney, Shane Ewald, attend the Executive Session in the Council Conference Room. Council rose to Executive Session at 8:03 p.m. Council rose to report from Executive Session at 9:33 p.m., with no action taken.
