CALL TO ORDER Vice President of Council McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. B. ITEM FROM THE CLERK OF COUNCIL 2020-021 Liquor Permit Request #14959800100; Cinemark USA, Inc. dba Cinemark Movies 16 The Clerk shared the information from the Liquor permit. Committee members allowed it to stand with no action taken. C. ITEMS FROM THE DIRECTOR OF PARKS & RECREATION ORD-010-2020 AN ORDINANCE AUTH O R I Z I N G A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Parks & Recreation Department (MI Homes Compensation). Ms. Bernard-Ferrell presented her request that funds paid to the City from MI homes that is in the Capital Improvement Fund be appropriated to an account in the Parks & Recreation Department. RECOMMENDATION: Consent Agenda. ORD-011-2020 AN ORDINANCE AUTH O R I Z I N G A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Parks & Recreation Department. Ms. Bernard-Ferrell presented her request to appropriate funds from the general fund to an account in the Parks & Recreation Department. RECOMMENDATION: Consent Agenda. ITEM FROM THE CLERK OF COURTS ORD-012-2020 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT FOR THE 2020 FISCAL YEAR WITH THE FRANKLIN COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDER COMMISSION TO REPRESENT INDIGENT PERSONS BEFORE THE FRANKLIN COUNTY MUNICIPAL COURT CHARGED WITH VIOLATIONS UNDER GAHANNA ORDINANCES. Mr. Mularski presented the request from the Clerk of Court's office to enter into a contract with Franklin County to provide public defenders to those that need representation. The cost has gone down 44% and contract is attached to the legislation as Exhibit A. RECOMMENDATION: Consent Agenda. City of Gahanna Page 2
