The inspection was performed by Seth Frost a State of Tennessee certified asbestos inspector. The surveys were performed prior to the building being demolished. The site consisted of a two story brick building with two small store fronts. The two small store fronts were not accessible at the time of the inspection. A total of forty - one (41) samples were collected of suspect asbestos containing material (ACM). Samples consisted of ceiling tiles, 9x9 floor tile, 9x9 vinyl floor tile, black mastic, glue dots, roofing, window caulk, window glaze, fiberboard, drywall and joint compound. The following materials were determined to be asbestos containing material (ACM). Since the buildings are to be demolished, any ACM that is or may become friable during demolition must be removed. If any ACM is to remain it must be properly disposed. Removal must be performed by State of Tennessee certified asbestos workers. If asbestos is to remain in place during demolition, contrabtor must follow OSHA Asbestos Regulations. Due to the hidden nature of building materials, it is possible some materials may have been hidden and therefore not sampled. If any material not identified within the sample results, is uncovered during renovationo it should be sampled and analyzed prior to disturbance.
