Agenda BID Board meeting, April 19, 2016, 3 PM, Rico Motors Call to order. Approval of March minutes. Voting items: Nomination of Board member Anna Biava for position as BID Treasurer. Budget process for FY 2016 – 2017: Board retreat vs. preliminary Budget created by BID Executive Committee, presented to Board for review and discussion, then final budget voted on by full Board. Itemized request from American Cancer Society Relay for Life for BID sponsorship for 2016 event - $4600. Reports: Financial Report Gallup Historic Commercial District nomination was unanimously approved without discussion in Santa Fe. Louie Bonaguidi and F. Bee spoke in support of the nomination. Next step is approval at National level in DC. NM 118 project update: construction to begin in early summer. Ride, Flight Cruise event planning is on schedule. USDA denied Gallup Broadband Planning Assistance application. Gallup encouraged to apply for next round. Comcast Cares Day, April 30. Planning complete. Comcast has secured over 50 volunteers to date. BID placed announcements in local media. NM MainStreet – Rich Williams, Eduardo Martinez and Keith Kelstrom presented a mandatory webinar on the Main Street America (formerly National Main Street) pivot from downtown events and promotions to measureable downtown economic revitalization work. This change is being phased in across NM MainStreet program. Gallup MainStreet Arts & Cultural District work plan presented to City Council by Colin McCarty, Board President. Met with Catherine Sebold to review Ride Flight Cruise advertising plan. Sanjay Choudrie provided to City Manager the income mix for renters at new Coal Avenue housing project. Participated in Santa Fe at demonstration of Executive Pulse business retention expansion and recruitment software platform. Program will be purchased by GGEDC. Annual fee will be shared by several Gallup organizations, which will be able to use the software. Financial consulting firm hired by City of Gallup gave report to City Council. Revitalization of downtown business district is in top two priorities recommended to keep Gallup’s socio-economic health strong in coming years. Arts Crawl report. Adjourn.
