Approval of February meeting minutes Reports: Financial report Trashcan enclosure decorating project committee received and judged entries. Painting will take place during April. Gallup’s Historic District nomination: S. Moffson, of HPD office in Santa Fe, will provide a presentation about the benefits of an Historic District during a public meeting in City Council Chamber on March 15 at 5:30 PM. Rt. 66/NM 118 Pedestrian Improvement Project contract award. Ride, Flight, Cruise event committee planning is on schedule. Comcast Cares Day, Saturday, April 30: a downtown cleanup day with Comcast, BID and MainStreet Arts & Cultural District participating. Applied, with GGEDC, for Planning Assistance from USDA for improved Broadband in the downtown business district BID Sign Grant Program for 2016 - forms given to potential applicants. Meeting held February 29 with Rich Williams and Eduardo Martinez of NM MainStreet, Gallup MainStreet Arts & Cultural District, BID, Gallup ARTS, City of Gallup, McKinley County. Met with Karla McWilliams, Grant Coordinator for NM Certified local Government Programs. She agreed to make a presentation in Gallup on Historic preservation and the CLC program. Also met with Harvey Kaplan, who manages NM HPD tax credit programs. He agreed to present with Ms. McWilliams in Gallup. Skateboard Park received $190,000 funding in NM FY 2017 Capital Outlay.
