Agenda BID Board Meeting, February 17, 2016, 2 PM, Rico Motors Call to order. Approval of December meeting minutes Voting items: Property improvement reimbursement request: Tony Bonaguidi, property at 205 Second Street Reports: Financial report Report on trash can enclosure decorating project. Gallup BID, MainStreet Arts & Cultural District and Gallup Arts have created a committee to plan and coordinate the painting, contest and PR effort. Octavia Fellin Library also helping with the effort. Gallup’s Historic District nomination: Met on Feb 16 with S. Moffson at HPD office in Santa Fe to discuss next steps for nomination, which is scheduled to be heard at the April meeting of NM HPD in Santa Fe. HPD has redrawn District boundaries, eliminating land north of railroad tracks. HPD will place legal notice in Gallup Independent to announce a public meeting for a presentation of the benefits of securing the District nomination. BID will seek permission to use City Council chamber for this small gathering. Rt. 66/NM 118 Pedestrian Improvement Project may begin in late Spring, 2016 Skate Park Project construction timeline; construction likely for Spring, 2017. February 16 BID Executive Committee meeting Ride, Flight, Cruise event committee planning is on schedule. Information re: tax credit available for rehab of buildings in an Arts & Cultural District and proposed tax incentive amendment. Meeting with Comcast regional manager – Internet capacity for business accelerator. - Community Services event Met February 11 with K. McWilliams, grant coordinator for Certified Local Government grant programs. Next step – meet again in Santa Fe office to establish timeline to secure CLG status for Gallup.
