Agenda     BID    Board    meeting,    July    21,    2016,    3    PM,    Rico    Motors     Guests:   City    of    Gallup    Planning    Director    Clyde    Strain,    Mike    Margus,    Building    Inspector   -    Recommendation    to    change    outdated    building    codes     Gallup    Express    Manager    Tommy    Mims    (tentative)   -    Recommendation    to    relocate    the    bus    stop    from    Aztec    Avenue    at    Plaza   Walkway   Voting    items:   Request    from    Annual    Gallup    Intertribal    Ceremonial    for    $5,000.    –    funds    will   support    2016    downtown    parade Request from Adventure Gallup and Beyond for $2,000. contribution for a stainless steel kinetic bike sculpture as a memorial to honor Rudy Radosevitch. The committee working on the project has raised $5,000.Total project cost will be $7,000. Mr. Radosovitch was an advocate for a strong downtown Gallup and the sculture is planned for the downtown walkway.     Reports:     Minutes    of    June    16,    2016     Financial    Report.     Request    from    property    owners    to    have    City    of    Gallup    put    crosswalk    lines    and   signs    at    4th    Street    and    Aztec    Avenue    for    pedestrian    safety     Report    on    presentation    of    BID,    MainStreet    Arts    &    Cultural    District    reports    to   Gallup    Rotary     Report    on    meetings    of    GEDA    Economic    Development    sub-committee    to    plan   Semi    Annual    Economic    Round    Table    in    Gallup     Report    on    presentation    of    Downtown    Gallup    Economic    Situation    analysis    and   recommendations    that    were    presented    to    attendees    at    semi-annual    GGEDC   Economic    Development    Round    Table    on    July    12.    The    attendees    emphasized    need   to    transform    alleys,    which    are    not    safe    to    walk,    also    very    strong    demands    to    find   an    approach    to    eliminate    train    noise.     Report    on    work    with    Trail    77    Media    Production    to    create    a    video    that    will    present   Gallup    downtown    commercial    district    in    a    positive    light.    Trail    77    filmed    foot    and   car    traffic,    interiors,    and    exteriors    of    buildings.    The    video    will    be    used    in   combination    with    Gallup    market    research    to    advertise    Gallup    building    inventory   to    prospective    buyers    located    beyond    local    Gallup    market    area. Report    on    meetings    with    individual    building    and    business    owners    to    describe    an   overview    of    programs    for    improving    their    buildings.     Upcoming    City    of    Gallup    Bond    Referendum    for    infrastructure    replacement,   including    in    the    downtown    commercial    district.     Monthly    Arts    Crawl    report     “Gallup    Historic    Commercial    District”    designation    approved    in    Washington,    DC.   and    placed    on    National    Register    of    Historic    Places     Closed    Session    of    Board re: personnel.     Adjourn.
