Annual Gallup Freedom Festival event planning update:
Car Show will be held in the parking lots of former Lowe’s Plaza and a Rico
Motors lot across 5th Street from Lowe’s. Balloon rally organizers will not
have an event in Gallup on July 30. Hence, there will not be any tunnel of fire
for the motorcycle riders entry into Downtown Gallup. A tunnel of light will be
created instead. Wise Fool circus performers, live bands, beer garden will
take place as in past years. City department heads have been meeting with
FB. We have a good plan to follow for this event.
Other discussion -
Hinkley Signs has provided a Sign Grant application, including the design of
the sign, from Quintana’s Music, which plans to move back its space next to
American Bar.
Hinkley is backed up with work and will not be able to fabricate and install
the Quintana sign until late September. Quintana’s has not yet moved back
to its former location.
