City of Galt MINUTES COMMISSION ON AGING GALT PARKS & RECREATION OFFICE CONFERENCE ROOM 610 CHABOLLA AVENUE, GALT, CA SPECIAL MEETING Monday, Jun 17, 2019 10:00 AM Chairperson: Bob Balliet Commissioners: Alvin Roberts, Andrea Johnson, Pennie Niemeyer, Marie Hall 1. Call Meeting to Order: Bob called meeting to order at 10:15AM 2. Roll Call: Bob Balliet, Alvin Roberts, Andrea Johnson (Absent), Pennie Niemeyer, Marie Hall (Absent) Advisor: Monica Lopez 3. Public Comment: Under Government Code Section 54954.3, members of the audience may address the Commission on any item of interest to the public or any agenda item before or during the Commission’s consideration of the item. Speakers shall restrict their comments to issues that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission and limit comments to a maximum of five (5) minutes. No members of Public were present – Public Comment was not read. 4. Acceptance of Minutes: Approve Minutes of May 30, 2019 (SPECIAL MEETING). Motion made by Pennie and seconded by Alvin. Approved unanimously. 5. Guest Speaker: NA 6. Old Business: NA 7. New Business: Soft Opening of Galt Senior Resource Center. Alvin, Pennie and Bob moved meeting to new Galt Senior Resource Center and opened it up for business. They discussed its operation and decided keep the days and hours of operation as is for the time being, depending on additional Volunteers and public traffic and usage of the Center. 8. COMMISSIONERS REPORTS: NA 9. ADJOURNMENT: Meeting was unanimously adjourned at 11:15 AM.
