Meeting Minutes, March 4, 2024
Meeting held in City Council Chambers

A. CALL MEETING TO ORDER: Joshua Cullers, Chair, called meeting to order at 6:33
P.M.
B. ROLL CALL: Adult Mentors Present: Fjeldstad, Goerzen, King, Lampson
Adult Mentors Absent: Farmer
Youth Members Present: Akers, Bowman , Brixey , Bulahan, Murillo Cuevas,
Cullers, Jones, Lallian, Ortega, Sandhu
C. PUBLIC COMMENT: Nati Silva. Health Educator with Sacramento County Public Health
asked Commission about vaping issue with youth
D. PRESENTATIONS: Paige Lampson took over for Joyce Horrocks to discuss A-Z
Foundation Funraiser Dinner date, expectations, and more for serving. Joyce Horrocks
finished presentation with more details later on via phone call.
E. REGULAR BUSINESS:
1. Icebreaker
Adult Mentor King presented a question for commission to answer.
2. Budget Report
Commissioner Jones shared most recent budget report.
3. Approval of minutes for November 6, 2023
Minutes were presented to commission for approval.
Moved: Jones Second: Murillo Cuevas Ayes: 10 Nays: 0 Abstain: 0
4. Senior Technology Project
A location change was requested by subcommittee for Grange Hall.
Moved: Bulahan Second: Ortega Ayes: 10 Nays: 0 Abstain: 0
5. Recruiting
Mentor Goerzen shared application update to commission. Deadline was set to April 18th at
5:30 pm
6. Meal with SPED students at each high school
Commissoner Jones led recap of event.
7. Last meeting food
Commissoners discussed on a type of food to farewell past commissioners and welcome in
the new commissioners. Commission decided on Mexican food from Compadres.

8. Galt Library Project
No updates presented. No action taken.
9. Game Night with Seniors and Teen Center
Tabled.
10. Summer team building event
Commission brainstormed idea for end of the year / beginning of the year team building
activity.
11. Council Update
Tabled.

13. Around The Horn/ Give Your Gratitude
Commissioners shared gratitude around the horn.
Adjournment
Chair Cullers adjourned the meeting at 7:48 p.m.
