MEASURE R OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE MEETING
MINUTES

Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 6:00 PM
Chair Cortez called the meeting to order at 6:03pm.
The roll call found Cortez, Spinelli, and Keagy present.
We saluted the American Flag.
Old Business:
The minutes of the last meeting were presented. No changes were recommended.
Spinelli moved and Keagy seconded to approve the minutes. The motion carried 3-0.
New Business:
The 2015/2016 year end numbers were presented along with the independent
auditors’ published balance sheet.
The 2016/2017 third quarter report was presented along with the budget documents
for the current fiscal year for reference.
Roundtable:
Chief Sockman and Lt. Kalinowski were present to give updates on our current
recruiting efforts and to answer questions.
The committee asked for the graffiti removal costs for Measure R for the past years.
The committee asked the department to explore having the annual report on the
departmental part of the agenda and not the consent calendar.
Our next regular meeting will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 26th, 2017.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:53 pm.

NOTE: If at any time during this meeting, a quorum of the Galt City Council is present, the meeting
will continue as a joint meeting of the Galt City Council and the Measure R Oversight Committee
until such time as a quorum of the Council is no longer present.
The Measure R Oversight Committee will be meeting in regular session on April 26, 2017,
at 6:00 pm. or shortly thereafter, to discuss the following items:
A. CALL MEETING TO ORDER; FLAG SALUTE
B. ROLL CALL: Lara, Spinelli, Cortez, Keagy, and Klassen.
C. OLD BUSINESS: Minutes-Regular Session January 25, 2017
Recommended Action: Approve the minutes as presented
D. NEW BUSINESS:
1. 2016/2017 Quarterly Report
Recommended Action: Review the report as presented
E. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: Under Government Code Section 54954.3,
members of the audience may address the Committee on any item of interest
to the public or on any agenda item before or during the Committee's
consideration of the item.
