ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:
New Members: We met and welcomed new Committee members Dave Dahlgren, Bill
Willmon and Marylou Powers.
Meeting Dates: We discussed the possibility of changing our bi-monthly meeting dates.
The group agreed to change our meeting dates from the fourth Monday of every
other month to the fourth Wednesday of every other month with the exception of
when that Wednesday conflicts with the quarterly Measure R meetings in which
case, we’ll meet on the third Wednesday.
Traffic Cites & Collisions: Statistics of citations and collisions on Twin Cities Road from June
2012 thru March 2015 were provided to the committee as requested. The
committee found the data informative.
ROUND TABLE:
Lagge commented on the taco truck on the north side of Twin Cities Road
acknowledging that it is in the County’s jurisdiction.
Lagge commented on a fatal collision that occurred on Stockton Blvd near McDonalds
questioning why a Tip411 alert was sent out.
Lagge questioned the conflicting signage at the new McDonalds the attempts to
regulate the turning in and out of the parking lot from and onto Stockton Blvd.
Shelton questioned when the Revisions to the Emergency Operations Plan would be
available for the committees review. Lt. Kalinowski said he’s find out and get back
to us.
Steve Winkler gave an update on the arrows that direct us through the Round A Bouts
explaining that Cal Trans regulates the signage and hasn’t approved the fish hook
arrows for us yet.
Lagge brought up the topic of bike lanes and the new law requiring three feet clearance
around a rider. Discussion followed and Winkler advised there are grant monies
available for this type of need and he’ll be looking into it.
Our next meeting will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:37pm.
