MINUTES
SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Council Chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt, California
Wednesday, July 17, 2019, 5:00 pm
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. Council Members present: Farmer, Sandhu, Campion, Lozano
and Lampson.
Staff members present: Interim City Manager Haglund, City Clerk Settles, Interim City Attorney Hood, Community
Development Director Erias, Finance Director Tyson, Parks & Recreation Director Solis, Police Chief Sockman,
Public Works Director Selling and Interim Human Resources Director Narloch.
OPENING CEREMONIES: The flag salute was recited and the City Clerk read the replay statement.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: The City Clerk announced that members of the public could address the City Council on
non-agenda items. She stated no discussion or action could be taken on any item that was not listed on the agenda.
The Clerk advised the location of the speaker cards, asked that speaker cards be presented to the Clerk prior to
addressing City Council and that each person would have a five-minute time limit to speak. She said those who
wished to speak on any item scheduled on the agenda would be given an opportunity to do so at the time that item
was being considered.
PRESENTATION:
SUBJECT: City Manager Recruitment – Peckham & McKenney Inc.
Phil McKenney, Peckham & McKenney, Inc., gave the presentation.
DEPARTMENTAL:
1. SUBJECT: Financial Sustainability Plan – General Fund Review.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Information only.
Haglund gave the agenda report.
There being no further business to come before City Council, the Mayor adjourned the meeting at 7:13 pm.

B. PUBLIC COMMENT: Under Government Code Section 54954.3, members of the public may address the council
on non-agenda items. Speakers may address council on any agenda item during consideration of the item. Speakers
shall restrict their comments to issues that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council and limit
comments to a maximum of five minutes. Please fill out a speaker sheet located on the table inside the entrances
to the council chambers and forward the completed speaker sheet to the clerk.
