MINUITES OF THE GALVESTON CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION WORKSHOP-THURSDAY DECEMBER 3RD , 2020 2:00 PM MEETING VIA ZOOM I. DECLARATION OF A QUORUM AND CALL MEETING TO ORDER a. With a quorum present, the meeting was called to order at 2:04pm Commission members present: Present: Nick Barbee, Mary Longorria, Pat Jakobi, Trey Click, Sherrill Hilton, Becky Major, Ken Shelton, Kathleen DiNatale , Mayor Pro-Tem Dr. Craig Brown, Absent: Michael Woody b.Purpose of the workshop: to review submissions for the City of Galveston Flag II. DISCUSSION a.Review of Good Flag/Bad Flag guideline b.City attorney to prepare agreement for each finalist to sign c. City will post finalists for public input/interest d. GCAC will submit 3-5 final submissions to City Council for vote III. ACTION a. Using Good Flag/Bad Flag guidelines and commission members input, 10 flag designs were selected to offer for public input & comments b. Motion to accept the 10 flag design finalists by Trey Click, seconded by Sherrill Hilton IV.
