NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING Park Board of Trustees of the City of Galveston Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM Park Board Plaza 601 Tremont Street, Galveston, Texas 77550 I. Requests To Address The Board The public shall be allowed to provide comment to the Board regarding one or more agenda or non-agenda items. All requests to address the Board must be submitted in writing and can be presented to the Board Reporter the day of the Board meeting prior to the start of the meeting. Each person will be limited to three (3) minutes, regardless of the number of items addressed. VI. Administration A. Discuss and Consider Approval of Allocation of Funding to the City of Galveston for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 (Kimberly Danesi and Bryson Frazier, 20 Minutes) B. Discuss and Review the Hotel Occupancy Tax Contract Proposed by the City of Galveston (Jason Hardcastle, 15 Minutes) C. Update on Current Park Board Audit by the City Auditor (Bryson Frazier, 10 Minutes) VII. Executive Session A. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071, private consultation with the Board’s legal counsel regarding any item on this meeting agenda, and all subjects or matters authorized by law in which the duty to the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Open Meetings Act regarding issues related to collection, allocation and use of Hotel Occupancy Tax funds. B. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.071, private consultation with the Board’s legal counsel regarding any item on this meeting agenda, and all subjects or matters authorized by law in which the duty to the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with the Open Meetings Act.  C. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.074, the Board of Trustees will conduct a closed Executive Session to discuss the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of employees.
