Gloves and Trash Bags - $167.90 Janitorial & Park Cleanup costs iv. Thermostat Cover - $24.48 Downstairs in Arena/ Safety issues for thermostat. It is now locked up c. BPI – A/C Unit Security Cameras - $1,045.41 2 security cameras installed. 2 kids climbed a/c unit and got on roof causing severe damage to unit. A stick was put through “fins” on unit causing more damage. Waiting on fencing company to get back to us. F. Maplewood a. Cardio Drumming - $448.44 Instructor and equipment packages that we sell b. Ice Arena Fall Programming New Open Skate on Thursday @ 6:30pm, Drop In Hockey on Wednesday & Saturday nights, and R/C trax on Wednesdays in addition to Sunday morning B. Maplewood Fall Programming Yoga, Pantry, Seniors C. Playbook Brochures to Households – Great Response D. Camp GC Report a. Total Revenue for 8 Weeks - $13,406.00 b. Total Camp Expenses - $7,930.39 Staff, Bus Rental for field trips, supplies. Faith did an amazing job running this program c. Total Camp Profit - $5,475.61 IV. Old Business A. Civic Rec Update -Brian Scott, (planner for civic rec) agreement was approved by city council. Brian will be reaching out to staff for training which will coincide completion of online access with the next addition of our Playbook. B. Helen Park Update Out for bid; cement, butterfly garden, covered tables = $49,000. We only have 33,000. Looking for other ideas to bring down the cost C. City Park Grant Update V. New Business A. Ice Arena a. Kids on Roof Police report was made. DPS was able to make repairs to the extensive damage caused by kids jumping on the A/C unit. Pictures were taken from the security cameras in hopes of identifying kids so that there parents can be charged for damages like what happened at Rotary Park b. Ice Painted – 8/25/2021 Completed along with Board Cleaning 9/7. c. Opening Programming Thursday Sept. 9th GCOTHA will have Rate Skate on 9/7. B. Security Camera Signs DPS has put in all the new signs as scare tactics in hopes or stopping the vandalization of our parks. Hopefully these signs will detour some of the past issues we have had. a. Rotary b. City Park - Pool House Bathrooms, A/C Units, Ball Fields C. Park Clean Up Days Next year’s event will be advertised more. Nation Parks Days happens in July and there will be week day and weekend events for all our parks. D. FEMA/Vaccinations/COVID Testing E. Movies in the Park a. Sept. 18 – Jumanji – The Next Level Last one of the season. Next year hoping to take this event on the road to other parks. F. Parks Commissioners – 2 People Interested G. Park Inspections and New Park Assignments Will address this issue at next meeting due to low attendance of Commissioners and hopefully the addition of new members H. Commemorative Bench Application – Florence Park Payment received from family. Project can move forward I. To Do List a. Anything needing special attention?
