Members of the Council will participate via “Zoom.” Per Senate Bill 150, Council Members without video access may participate via audio teleconference. The meeting will be hosted from City Hall, 100 North Court Street, Georgetown, KY 40324. Per Kentucky Attorney General Opinion 20-05, Senate Bill 150 and House Joint Resolution 1, public attendance will not be permitted at this meeting because, due to the highly contagious nature of COVID-19, it is not feasible for the City to provide a central physical location for public viewing. Adjourn Georgetown City Council Special Meeting Minutes of 1/13/2022 Page 1 of 2 Georgetown City Council Special Meeting January 13, 2022 6:00 pm The special meeting of the Georgetown City Council was called to order by Tom Prather. All members were present, except Councilmember Tingle-Sames. Councilmember Hampton led the pledge after a moment of silence. 1. Minutes A motion was made by Councilmember Hambrick and seconded by Councilmember Stone to approve the minutes from the special City Council meeting December 13, 2021. The motion was unanimously approved. 2. Acknowledge Receipt of Check Register Mayor Prather requested that council acknowledge receipt of the check register. Council members all acknowledged such receipt. 3. Public Comments A motion to approve closing streets for Martin Luther King march on January 17th was made by Councilmember Stone and seconded by councilmember Hampton. The motion was unanimously approved. 4. Mayor’s Comments a) Executive Order appointing Jason Baird to the Georgetown Municipal Water Board. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Hampton and seconded by Councilmember Hambrick. The motion was unanimously approved. b) Executive Order appointing Lisa Thornton to the Georgetown Human Rights Commission. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Tackett and seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved. c) Resolution honoring Kentucky Humanities. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Hampton. The motion was unanimously approved. 5. GMWSS A motion to approve WWTP 1 work directive was made by Councilmember Lusby and seconded by Councilmember Tackett. The motion was unanimously approved. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Hambrick and seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. A roll call vote passed 7-0. b) Second reading of zone ordinance - Old Oxford Road. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Hampton and seconded by Councilmember Tackett. A roll call vote passed 7-0. c) Second reading of annexation ordinance- Paris Pike. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Stone. A roll call vote passed 7-0. d) Second reading of zone change ordinance- Paris Pike. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Tackett and seconded by Councilmember Lusby. A roll call vote passed 7-0. e) First reading of zone change ordinance-Horseshoe Drive. 7. City Engineer Resolution approving amendment to TAP Grant agreement. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Tackett and seconded by councilmember Hampton. The motion was unanimously approved. 8. Human Resources First reading of amendment to personnel ordinance. 9. Police Department a) Municipal Order approving surplus items. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Stone and seconded by Councilmember Hampton. The motion was unanimously approved. b) Municipal Order approving surplus vehicles. A motion for approval was made by Councilmember Stone and seconded by Councilmember Hampton. The motion was unanimously approved. There being no further business Mayor Prather adjourned the meeting.
