Georgetown City Council Meeting Minutes of December 8, 2025 Page 1 of 2 Georgetown City Council Meeting December 8, 2025 6 pm Mayor Jenkins called the Georgetown City Council meeting to order. All members were present. After a moment of silence, Councilmember Crisp led the pledge. 1. Minutes A motion to approve the Minutes from the November 24, 2025, City Council Meeting was made by Councilmember Hampton and seconded by Councilmember Crisp. The motion was unanimously approved. 2. *Finance – Municipal Order – Lanes Run Business Park Phase III Expansion Project Construction Contract A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Hampton and seconded by Councilmember Wilkins Brent. The motion was unanimously approved. 3. Mayor’s Comments a) Executive Order – Georgetown Board of Ethics Reappointment – John Sosbe A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Tingle Sames and seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved. b) Executive Order – GMWSS Board of Commissioners Reappointment – Jeff Klocke A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Hambrick and seconded by Councilmember Menke. The motion passed 7-1. Councilwoman Tingle Sames voted no. 4. Bluegrass Recovery Initiative – Resolution – Agreement for Participation in Development of Bluegrass Recovery Initiative A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Tingle Sames and seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. The motion passed 7-1. Councilmember Menke voted no. 5. Planning & Zoning/Zoning Ordinances Councilmember Tingle Sames provided a brief report from the Special Called Planning and Zoning Advisory Committee meeting held on December 4, 2025. Items discussed included mixed-use development, landscaping consistency, definitions of variances, and more efficient traffic studies, all of which could be addressed in a zoning ordinance. Councilmember Menke shared information about the Legislative Research Commission, Housing Task Force, and Land Reform for Kentucky. 6. Police a) Municipal Order – Surplus A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Tingle Sames and seconded by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell. The motion was unanimously approved. b) Municipal Order – Contract for Police Department and Dispatch Facilities Needs Assessment A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Lusby Mitchell and seconded by Councilmember Menke. The motion was unanimously approved. 7. City Engineer – Municipal Order – Street Dedication – Village at Lanes Run, Phase 3, Section 1A A motion to approve was made by Councilmember Hampton and seconded by Councilmember Crisp. The motion was unanimously approved. There being no further business, Mayor Jenkins adjourned the meeting at 7:31 pm.
