MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF THURSDAY AUGUST 01, 2019 AT 5:30 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER 1, ROOM 233 50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Eddie Cook, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Brigette Peterson, Jordan Ray, Jared Taylor and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: none STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Lisa Maxwell, Deputy Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Town Attorney Christopher Payne CALL TO ORDER Mayor Daniels called the meeting to order at 5:34 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Vice Mayor Cook, seconded by Councilmember Ray, to recess to Executive Session pursuant to: a) Pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3) and (4), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning litigation involving Big League Dreams Gilbert LLC.; b) Pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3) and (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning the sale of land near Mustang Way and Germann Road; c) Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3) and (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning the sale of land near Ray and Greenfield Road; and d) Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3) and (4), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning legal obligations regarding relocation of gas lines under the Southwest Gas Franchise Agreement. Motion carried 6-0, with Councilmember Taylor not present for the vote.
