MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY FEBRUARY 04, 2020 AT 5:30 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER 1, ROOM 233 50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Scott Anderson, Councilmembers Eddie Cook, Brigette Peterson, Jordan Ray, Jared Taylor, and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Lisa Maxwell, Deputy Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Town Attorney Christopher Payne, and Deputy Town Attorney John Baird AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Daniels called the meeting to order at 5:34 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by Councilmember Ray, to recess to Executive Session pursuant to: a) Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3) and (7), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning the sale of land near Germann Road and Mustang Way; b) Pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3),(4) legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning legal options regarding the lease with Operation Welcome Home AZ, Inc. and real property relating thereto; c) Pursuant to A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3), (4), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning utility connections to leased property located near Greenfield and Queen Creek Roads; and d) Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3), legal advice from the Town Attorney regarding a request to provide water service out of the water service area near Riggs and Recker Roads. Motion carried 6-0, with Councilmember Yentes not present for the vote.
