MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN REGULAR MEETING OF TUESDAY OCTOBER 13, 2020 AT 6:00 PM, MUNICIPAL CENTER I, ROOM 233, 50 E CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Scott Anderson, Vice Mayor Yung Koprowski, Councilmembers Scott September, Bill Spence, Jared Taylor, Kathy Tilque, and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Deputy Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Vice Mayor Scott Anderson called the meeting to order at 6:11 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Taylor, seconded by Councilmember September, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to: a) A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(3), legal advice from the Town Attorney regarding a policy for lighting the Gilbert water tower. b) A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3), legal advice from the Town Attorney regarding rules of procedure for executive sessions. Motion carried 7-0. RECESS EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE IN REGULAR MEETING A MOTION was made by Councilmember Yentes, seconded by Councilmember September, to recess the Executive Session and reconvene in Regular Meeting. Motion carried 7-0. The Regular Meeting was reconvened at 6:37 p.m. RECESS REGULAR MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Vice Mayor Koprowski, seconded by Councilmember September, to recess the Regular Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session at 9:05 p.m., pursuant to the items noted above. 1 The Executive Session was reconvened at 9:10 p.m. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE REGULAR MEETING A MOTION was made by Councilmember Spence, seconded by Councilmember Yentes, to recess the Executive Session and reconvene in Regular Meeting at 10:12 p.m. ADJOURN Mayor Anderson adjourned the meeting at 10:13 p.m. ATTEST: ___________________________ ___________________________________ Scott Anderson, Mayor Chaveli Herrera, MMC, Deputy Town Clerk CERTIFICATION I hereby certify that the foregoing minutes are a true and correct copy of the minutes of the regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Gilbert held on the 13th day of October, 2020.
