MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF THURSDAY APRIL 08, 2021 AT 5:30 PM, 50 E. CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, CONFERENCE ROOM 233, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson, Vice Mayor Yung Koprowski, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Laurin Hendrix, Scott September, Kathy Tilque, and Aimee Yentes COUNCIL ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Town Manager Patrick Banger, Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera, Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:37 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Yentes, seconded Councilmember Anderson to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to: A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3), (4), discussion or consultation for legal advice and to consider the Town’s position and instruct the Town’s attorneys concerning litigation entitled Candler v. Gilbert, et. al, U.S. District Court Case No. 20-01947. Motion carried 7-0. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING A MOTION was made by Vice Mayor Koprowski, seconded by Councilmember Yentes, to adjourn the Executive Session and reconvene in Special Meeting. Motion carried 7-0.
