MINUTES OF THE GILBERT TOWN COUNCIL, IN SPECIAL MEETING OF TUESDAY, AUGUST 23, 2022 AT 5:15 PM, GILBERT PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING FACILITY, ECHO ROOM 108, 6860 SOUTH POWER ROAD, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson, Vice Mayor Aimee Yentes, Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Laurin Hendrix, Yung Koprowski, Scott September, and Kathy Tilque COUNCIL ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Assistant Town Manager Dawn Prince, Town Clerk Chaveli Herrera, and Town Attorney Christopher Payne AGENDA ITEM CALL TO ORDER Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:17 p.m. ROLL CALL Town Clerk Herrera declared a quorum was present RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Tilque, seconded by Councilmember Koprowski, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to: A.R.S. §§ 38-431.03(A)(3), (4), legal advice from the Town Attorney and discussion and consultation with Town representatives concerning the Amended and Restated Cooley Center Development Agreement and a proposed rail ordinance 1 Motion carried 7-0 ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECONVENE SPECIAL MEETING A MOTION was made by Councilmember Tilque, seconded by Councilmember September to adjourn Executive Session and reconvene Special Meeting. Motion carried 7-0.
