MINUTES OF THE GILBERT COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATION SCREENING, INTERVIEW, AND SELECTION IN SPECIAL MEETING, SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 AT 5:30 P.M., ROOM 108, 6860 S. POWER ROAD, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson; Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Laurin Hendrix, Scott September, and Kathy Tilque COUNCIL ABSENT: Vice Mayor Yung Koprowski and Councilmember Aimee Yentes CALL TO ORDER OF SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. RECESS SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember September, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(1) to: a) interview and consider applicants Anthony Bianchi, Jenna Bishop, Alex Cardona, Sean Des Portes, Brian Johns, and Cassandra Mehan for the Planning Commission; b) discuss and consider applicants Ashley Hughes, Fatima Freig, Erik Jagos, Anthony Panepinto, Mary Schaper, Jerry Spears, and Isabel Wilkerson for the Self-Insured Trust Board; and c) discuss and consider applicants Philip Alibrandi, Michael Bailey, Michael Carvelli, Oran Cookemboo, Susan Freeman, Joel Goudreau, Allison Hall, Timothy Norgart, Javier Rodriguez, John Sentz, Brenda Sullivan, and Gary Volz for the Veterans Advisory Board.
