MINUTES OF THE GILBERT COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATION SCREENING, INTERVIEW, AND SELECTION IN SPECIAL MEETING, MAY 16, 2023, AT 4:30 P.M., MUNICIPAL CENTER I, COMMUNITY ROOM 202, 50 E. CIVIC CETNER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson; Vice Mayor Kathy Tilque; Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Chuck Bongiovanni, Bobbi Buchli, and Jim Torgeson COUNCIL ABSENT: Councilmember Yung Koprowski CALL TO ORDER OF SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. RECESS OF SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Torgeson, seconded by Councilmember Bongiovanni, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §38- 431.03(A)(1) to interview and consider applicants Glen Baker, David Barazoto, Michael Clark, Robert Ferron, Paul Gonzales, and Rick Kettner for the Parks and Recreation Board. Motion carried 6-0. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND CONVENE SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was reconvened at 6:00 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A MOTION was made by Vice Mayor Tilque, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to adjourn the Special meeting.
