MINUTES OF THE GILBERT COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATION SCREENING, INTERVIEW, AND SELECTION IN SPECIAL MEETING, SEPTEMBER 19, 2023, AT 4:30 P.M., MUNICIPAL CENTER I, COMMUNITY ROOM 202, 50 E. CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson; Vice Mayor Kathy Tilque; Councilmembers Scott Anderson, Chuck Bongiovanni, Bobbi Buchli, and Jim Torgeson COUNCIL ABSENT: Councilmember Yung Koprowski CALL TO ORDER OF SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 4:33 p.m. RECESS OF SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Buchli, seconded by Vice Mayor Tilque, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03(A)(1) to: a) interview and consider applicants Louis DeGravina, Thomas Everett, Lisa Gage, William Goodyear, Jr., Ryan Handelsman, Shannon Howard, Casey Kendel, Nelsen Michaelson, Noah Mundt, Jän Simon, and Cassandra Updike for the Planning Commission; and b) interview and consider applicants Chris Peterson and Aldo Valencia for the Self-Insured Trust Board. Motion carried 5-0; Councilmember Bongiovanni arrived at 4:46 p.m. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND CONVENE SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was reconvened at 6:17 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A MOTION was made by Vice Mayor Tilque, seconded by Councilmember Buchli, to adjourn the Special meeting.
