MINUTES OF THE GILBERT COUNCIL SUBCOMMITTEE ON BOARD AND COMMISSION APPLICATION SCREENING, INTERVIEW, AND SELECTION IN SPECIAL MEETING, MAY 29, 2024, AT 4:30 P.M., MUNICIPAL CENTER I, COMMUNITY ROOM 202, 50 E. CIVIC CENTER DRIVE, GILBERT, ARIZONA COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Brigette Peterson; Vice Mayor Scott Anderson; Councilmembers Chuck Bongiovanni, Bobbi Buchli, Yung Koprowski, Kathy Tilque(attended virtually), and Jim Torgeson COUNCIL ABSENT: None CALL TO ORDER OF SPECIAL MEETING Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 4:37 p.m. RECESS OF SPECIAL MEETING AND RECONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION A MOTION was made by Councilmember Bongiovanni, seconded by Councilmember Buchli, to recess the Special Meeting and reconvene in Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. §38- 431.03(A)(1) to interview and consider applicants Nneka Aguwamba, Natosha Ash, Marc Beasley, Kristine Brennan, Carrie Collins, Justin Fink, Pamela Garcia Filion, Amaris Gayden, Shannon Hayes, Patricia Krueger, and Terri Lynn Leach for the Community Engagement Task Force. for the Community Engagement Task Force. Motion carried 7-0. ADJOURN EXECUTIVE SESSION AND CONVENE SPECIAL MEETING The Special Meeting was reconvened at 4:37 p.m. ADJOURNMENT A MOTION was made by Councilmember Bongiovanni, seconded by Councilmember Buchli, to adjourn the Special meeting.
