GRANDVIEW CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES AUGUST 24, 2021 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Gloria Mendoza called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting was held in person and was also available via teleconference. Present in person: Mayor Mendoza and Councilmembers David Diaz, Bill Moore (Mayor Pro Tem), Robert Ozuna, Javier Rodriguez and Joan Souders Present via teleconference: Councilmembers Mike Everett and Diana Jennings Absent: None Staff present: City Administrator/Public Works Director Cus Arteaga, City Attorney Quinn Plant, City Treasurer Matt Cordray, Assistant Public Works Director Todd Dorsett and City Clerk Anita Palacios 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Mendoza led the pledge of allegiance. 3. PRESENTATIONS – None 4. PUBLIC COMMENT – None 5. CONSENT AGENDA On motion by Councilmember Moore, second by Councilmember Diaz, Council approved the Consent Agenda consisting of the following: A. Minutes of the August 9, 2021 Special Council meeting B. Payroll Check Nos. 12330-12352 in the amount of $94,628.43 C. Payroll Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) Nos. 60607-60611 in the amount of $82,209.28 D. Payroll Direct Deposit 08/01/21-08/15/21 in the amount of $108,892.77 E. CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND/OR STAFF REPORTS Public Works Department Projects – Assistant Public Works Director Dorsett explained that the following Public Works Department projects were completed: • Installation of “public parking” signs at the City-owned parking lot on Avenue A; • Resurfacing and striping of Dykstra Park basketball court; • Installation of Norm Childress Amphitheater sign at Country Park; and • Installation of additional cremation niche at the cemetery. 9.
