GRANDVIEW CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES MARCH 26, 2024 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Ashley Lara called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting was held in person and was also available via teleconference. Present in person: Mayor Lara and Councilmembers Steve Barrientes, David Diaz, Laura Flores, Bill Moore (Mayor Pro Tem), Robert Ozuna, Javier Rodriguez and Joan Souders Present via teleconference: None Absent: None Staff present: City Administrator Shane Fisher, City Attorney Quinn Plant, City Treasurer Matt Cordray, Public Works Director Hector Mejia, Fire Chief Pat Mason, Library Director Wendy Poteet and City Clerk Anita Palacios 2. Certificates of Extraordinary Achievement – GHS Varsity Boys State Basketball Team Mayor Lara presented Certificates of Extraordinary Achievement to the following GHS Varsity Boys Basketball Team, who placed second at the 2A State Basketball Championships: Mavryk Bentley, I’syis Zamarripa, Francisco Medina, Cameron Draculan, Nathan Montes DE Oca, Marcelino Armendariz, Titus Jeffrey, Danny Moreno, Eloy Armendariz II, Luke Cortez and Levi Dorsett. Regular Meeting Minutes March 26, 2024 Page 2 5. Ordinance No. 2024-07 amending the 2024 Annual Budget I. CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND/OR STAFF REPORTS Ambulance Services – Fire Chief Mason provided an update on ambulance services to include the purchase of a used ambulance vehicle from the City of Sunnyside for future City ambulance services. On motion by Councilmember Ozuna, second by Councilmember Diaz, Council directed staff to prepare a budget amendment for the purchase of the used ambulance vehicle from the City of Sunnyside. 10.
