GRANDVIEW CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES APRIL 23, 2024 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Ashley Lara called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting was held in person and was also available via teleconference. Present in person: Mayor Lara and Councilmembers Steve Barrientes, David Diaz, Laura Flores, Bill Moore (Mayor Pro Tem), Robert Ozuna, Javier Rodriguez and Joan Souders Present via teleconference: None Absent: None Staff present: City Administrator Shane Fisher, City Attorney Quinn Plant, City Treasurer Matt Cordray, Public Works Director Hector Mejia, Library Director Wendy Poteet and City Clerk Anita Palacios 2. PRESENTATIONS A. 2024 Arbor Day Proclamation Mayor Lara proclaimed April 24, 2024 as Arbor Day in the City of Grandview and urged all citizens to celebrate Arbor Day and to support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands. 5. Grandview Days – Grandview Days sponsored by Mainstreet Grandview was scheduled for April 25, 2024. Heart of Grandview Fundraiser – The Heart of Grandview fundraiser sponsored by Mainstreet Grandview was scheduled for May 25, 2024. Regular Meeting Minutes April 23, 2024 Page 4 Day of Service – The Day of Service was scheduled for May 18, 2024 at the Grandview Nazarene Church. No Rhyme or Reason Flea Market – The No Rhyme or Reason Flea Market was scheduled for April 26 and 27, 2024 at Country Park. Spin Time Event – A Spin Time Event was scheduled for April 27, 2024 at the Grandview Museum. Library Book Sale – The Friends of the Library Book Sale was scheduled for April 26 and 27, 2024 at the Grandview Library. 11.
