GRANDVIEW CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES AUGUST 13, 2024 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Ashley Lara called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting was held in person and was also available via teleconference. Present in person: Mayor Lara and Councilmembers Steve Barrientes, David Diaz, Bill Moore (Mayor Pro Tem), Robert Ozuna and Joan Souders Present via teleconference: Councilmember Laura Flores Absent: Councilmember Javier Rodriguez On motion by Councilmember Moore, second by Councilmember Barrientes, Council excused Councilmember Rodriguez from the meeting. PRESENTATIONS – None 5. PUBLIC COMMENT Alicia Fajardo, Mainstreet Grandview, invited the Mayor and Council to the 3on3 Summer Heat Basketball Tournament on August 17 and 18, 2024. Jessica Prieto, 10014 North Hicks Road, Grandview, WA, expressed concerns with the Deputy Fire Chief’s job description. 6. CONSENT AGENDA On motion by Councilmember Ozuna, second by Councilmember Souders, Council approved the Consent Agenda consisting of the following: A. Minutes of the July 23, 2024 Committee-of-the-Whole meeting B. Minutes of the July 23, 2024 Council meeting C. Payroll Check Nos. 14001-14031 in the amount of $32,048.64 D. Payroll Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) Nos. 61385-61391 in the amount of $120,293.20 E. Payroll Direct Deposit 07/16/24-07/31/24 in the amount $173,580.68 F. Claim Check Nos. 1294301-129540 in the amount of $419,192.89 G.
