Administration Committee Meeting Minutes
The Village Administration Committee met on Monday, April 14 at 4:30 p.m.
in the Village Board room, 316 Brad St S, Grantsburg, WI 54840.
Present: Chairman/President Terrance Kucera
Trustee Greg Peer
Trustee Hank Java

President Kucera called the Administration Committee Meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. The Pledge of
Allegiance was recited.
THE ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE WILL CONVENE INTO CLOSED SESSION to perform a 6-month
performance evaluation of the Police Chief pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85 (1) (c) “Considering
employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee
over which the government body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.”
Motion by Trustee Java second by Trustee Peer to convene into closed session. Motion carried.
THE ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE WILL RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION pursuant to Wis. Stats.
19.85 (2).
Motion by Trustee Java second by Trustee Peer to reconvene into open session. Motion carried.
Any motions needed from closed session.
Motion by President Kucera second by Trustee Java to recommend the Village Board honor the
employment contract with Chief Woody and provide him the agreed upon 4% increase as of his 6-month
anniversary date. Motion carried.
Community Center a) School rental agreement approved b) order room divider panels?
Clerk/Treasurer Meyer reported that the Grantsburg School District signed the final draft of the
community center rental agreement and asked the committee if she should now order the room divider
panels. The contract stated that the Village would pay 1/3 and the school district 2/3 of the total panel
cost.
Motion by Trustee Java second by Trustee Peer to recommend the Village Board direct
Clerk/Treasurer Meyer to purchase the room divider panels. Motion carried.
Stout Construction change orders CO 1 and CO 2 for campground project
Clerk/Treasurer Meyer reviewed the change orders included in the packet. She explained CO 1 was
removing the shower section of the bathhouse, eliminating a section of blacktop road through the
campground, removing fire rings, and removing ten picnic tables. She indicated that we may add our own
picnic tables and/or fire rings at but at a lower cost. C/T Meyer continued to explain CO 2 provided cost
savings to bore utilities under the road rather than removing a section of blacktop. The total cost savings
of CO 1 totaled $113,395.70 and the CO 2 savings totaled $3,682.56.
Motion by President Kucera second by Trustee Peer to recommend the Village Board approve
change order CO 1 and CO 2 for the campground project. Motion carried.
Aquatic Plant Management plan draft for review and comments
Clerk/Treasurer Meyer asked the committee to review the plan and provide her feedback by Thursday this
week and she will send to Renee with SEH to update the plan. The plan needs to be submitted to the WI
DNR by May 1st. C/T Meyer explained that the plan provides steps that the Village can do or can choose to
do nothing. However, the Village must follow the plan if Watercross continues to request a mechanical
weed harvesting permit.
