Village of Grantsburg 316 Brad Street South Grantsburg, WI 54840 Administration Committee Meeting Minutes The Village Administration Committee met on Monday, April 28 at 1:00 p.m. in the Village Board room, 316 Brad St S, Grantsburg, WI 54840. Present: Chairman/President Rick Lindberg Trustee Greg Peer Trustee Hank Java Others: Clerk/Treasurer Sheila Meyer Director of Public Works John Erickson Chief Jared Woody Police/Office Admin Assistant Larissa Lee President Lindberg called the Administration Committee Meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Splashpad Meter DPW Erickson asked the committee to clarify the plan to pay for water usage at the splashpad since the pool was not budgeted in 2024 or 2025. The committee discussed the Village Board’s decision to include $6,000 in the 2025 budget to cover water usage at the splashpad but indicated that GRO would pay what they were able with any extra funds. Clerk/Treasurer Meyer spoke with Niki Peterson, and she indicated the GRO splashpad group is signed up to work the Dairy Breakfast to fundraise for water usage, in the past they had raised $2500 from that event. DPW Erickson indicated he purchased a meter for the splashpad to track water usage separately from the pool. The Village provides a meter for all new water connections, but GRO did agree to pay for a backflow preventer. The committee discussed what the future looks like for the pool and splashpad about budgeting, fees, and daily management. They requested to have a future meeting scheduled with Pool Manager Julie Fiedler and GRO President Niki Peterson to discuss. No motions made. THE ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE WILL CONVENE INTO CLOSED SESSION pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85 (1) (e) to discuss matters pertaining to a collective bargaining agreement which for competitive or bargaining reasons requires a closed session. Motion by Trustee Java second by Trustee Peer to convene into closed session. Motion carried. THE ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE WILL RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85 (2). Motion by Trustee Java, second by Trustee Peer to reconvene into open session. Motion carried. Any motions needed from closed session. No motions made from closed session.
