Village of Grantsburg Public Safety Committee Meeting Thursday, August 15, 2024 The Public Safety Committee for the Village of Grantsburg met on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Village Board Room, 316 S. Brad Street, Grantsburg, Wisconsin. Present: Chairman/Trustee Greg Peer, Trustee John McNally Absent: Trustee Diane Barton Others present: Police Officers Bridget Getts and Andrew Tyler, DPW John Erickson, Mike & Pam Plasch Call to Order Chairman/Trustee Peer called the Public Safety Committee meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Property Maintenance Follow up letters have been sent. Natural Lawn Ordinance The Committee discussed the current Village Ordinance dealing with natural lawns and information provided about twelve (12) area municipalities and what they currently have. Some don’t have a natural lawn ordinance, some have the same one as ours and some are slightly different that ours. The committee will do more research. Parking on Olson Drive/Oak Street to Madison The committee discussed the current situation when vehicles are parked on both sides of Olson Drive and the potential for accidents. Motion by Trustee McNally, second by Trustee Peer to recommend the Village Board approve placing No Parking signs on the south side of Olson Drive from Oak Street to the entrance to the James N. McNally campground. Motion passed unanimously. Adjournment Motion by Trustee Peer, second by Trustee McNally to adjourn the Public Safety Committee meeting at 6:22 p.m. Sheila Meyer Clerk/Treasurer
