Village of Grantsburg 316 Brad Street South Grantsburg, WI 54840 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes The Village Public Safety Committee met on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Village Board room, 316 Brad St S, Grantsburg, WI 54840. Present: Chairman/Trustee Greg Peer Trustee John Addison Trustee Sam Campeau Others: Chief Jared Woody Clerk/Treasurer Meyer Police Administrative Assistant Larissa Lee Chairman Peer called the Public Safety Committee Meeting to order at 9:02 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Property Maintenance questions and review Chief Woody discussed the plan for this to be the final meeting until spring, as the winter season begins, it is difficult for many of these violations to be fixed. He reviewed a few ongoing property issues regarding living in campers/buses, etc. that would have continued review throughout the year as those are not affected by the weather. The committee reviewed photos of 13 properties. During discussion, some properties were tabled for spring 2026, three-five citations were planned to be issued if property owners did not provide solid plan for fixing violations, and a couple follow up letters will be issued. Trustee Campeau left the meeting at 9:45 a.m. The committee discussed abandoned properties ordinance to help with the increase in vacant homes and businesses in the village and resulting violations. No motions were made at this meeting. The committee set the next Public Safety Committee meeting for Thursday, November 13th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting was adjourned at 10 a.m. Allison Longhenry Deputy Clerk/Treasurer
