City Council Meetings

City of Green River, Special City Council Proceedings for September 4, 2018, 7:00 pm, Council Chambers, Mayor Pete Rust called the meeting to order. The following Council Members were present: Lisa Maes, Tom Murphy, Robert Berg, Ted Barney and Gary Killpack. The following were present representing the City: City Administrator Reed Clevenger; Director of Human Resources Cari Kragovich, Communication Administrator Amanda Cavaz, Director of Finance Chris Meats, Director of Public Works Mark Westenskow, Director of Community Development Laura Leigh, Police Chief Tom Jarvie, Fire Chief Mike Nomis, Director of Parks and Recreation Brad Raney, URA/Main Street Administrator Jennie Melvin and City Attorney Galen West. Approval of the Agenda: Council Member Killpack moved to approve the agenda. Council Member Berg seconded, motion carried. Proclamations: Suicide Prevention Week. Presentations: Green River Girl Scout Troop 1932 ADA Swing Project Recognition. Citizen Requests and Other Concerns: Tim Laboria said he will be going to Cheyenne to recite the Gettysburg Address on September 11, 2018. Board and Committee Appointments: (A) Reappointment of Scott Travis to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Council Member Berg moved to confirm Mayor Rust’s reappointment of Scott Travis to a three year term on the Green River Planning and Zoning Commission, concluding August 31, 2021. Council Member Killpack seconded, motion carried. (B) Reappointment of Tina Porter to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Council Member Maes moved to confirm Mayor Rust’s reappointment of Tina Porter to a three year term on the Green River Planning and Zoning Commission, concluding August 31, 2021. Consent Agenda: Council Member Killpack moved to approve the Consent Agenda; (A) Transfer of Liquor License for the Wild Horse Saloon, Inc. dba The Hitching Post Restaurant and Saloon for the Rolls on Benefit Dinner at the Sweetwater Events Complex on September 20, 2018, from 6 pm to midnight, pending approval by the Rock Springs City Council; (B) Approval of the Minutes for: August 16, 2018 Special Council and August 21, 2018 Council; (C) Approval of the Payment of Bills: Prepaid Invoices $1,706.50, Outstanding Invoices $564,502.83, Payroll Expenditures $631,996.91, Preauthorization Payments $1,065,000.00, Council Member Murphy seconded, motion carried. Adjournment: Council Member Killpack moved to adjourn at 7:23 pm.
