City Council Meetings

City of Green River, City Council Workshop Proceedings for June 8, 2021, 6:30 pm, in Council Chambers, Mayor Pete Rust called the meeting to order. The following Council Members were present: Gary Killpack, Robert Berg, Sherry Bushman, Mike Shutran, George Jost and Jim Zimmerman. The following were present representing the City: Government Affairs and Grants Manager Ryan Rust, Director of Public Works Mark Westenskow, Assistant Fire Chief Larry Erdmann, Police Chief Tom Jarvie and Parks & Recreation Director Brad Raney. Presentations: (A) Green River Greenbelt – John Freeman. John Freeman gave a brief update to the council on what the Greenbelt Taskforce plans are for the future. (B) Diversion Dam Correspondence. The Mayor said council has come to a consensus that the dam needs to be removed so a letter is being drafted that will be sent out to all entities involved when it is finalized. (C) Continuation of the discussion on Community Pride and Volunteerism.
