City Council Meetings

City of Green River, City Council Proceedings for November 16, 2021, 7 pm, City Hall Council Chambers, Council President Gary Killpack called the meeting to order. The following Council Members were present: Sherry Bushman, George Jost, Robert Berg, Mike Shutran and Jim Zimmerman. The following were present representing the City: Acting City Administrator Mark Westenskow, Communications Administrator Steve Core, Public Affairs and Grants Manager Ryan Rust, Police Chief Tom Jarvie, Senior Building Inspector Ken Yager, Director of Parks and Recreation Brad Raney and City Attorney Galen West. Approval of the Agenda: Council Member Shutran moved to approve the agenda. Council Member Berg seconded, motion carried. Proclamations: (A) National Apprenticeship Week; (B) Small Business Saturday. Council Action Items: Consideration of Change Order #1 for the 2021 Water Improvement Project. Council Member Zimmerman moved to approve Change Order #1 for the 2021 Water Improvement Project, in the amount of $10,972.22 and authorizes the Mayor to sign the Change Order. Council Member Shutran seconded, motion carried. Consent Agenda: Council Member Shutran moved to approve the following items: (A) Authorize the Mayor to sign the Certificate of State Grant-in-Aid form for Spaceport Day 2022, pending legal approval; (B) Issuance of a Catering Permit to Lew’s Inc. dba Sands Buddha Bobs Liquor Catering to cater alcoholic beverages at Tata 2021 Christmas Party on December 17, 2021, from 4 pm until midnight at the Island Pavilion, pending approval by the Rock Springs City Council; (C) Issuance of a catering permit to the Ponderosa Bar to cater alcoholic beverages at the Muley Fanatic Christmas Party on December 11, 2021, from 3 pm until midnight, at the Island Pavilion; (D) Issuance of catering permits to the Wild Horse Saloon, Inc., dba the Hitching Post Saloon to cater alcoholic beverages at the Holiday Business Showcase on November 19, 2021, from 6 pm until 9 pm and November 20, 2021 from 10 am until 3 pm, at the Island Pavilion; (E) Approval of Minutes for: November 2, 2021 Council; (F) Approval of Payment of Bills: Prepaid Invoices $227,077.78, Outstanding Invoices $358,888.59, Payroll Expenditures $266,727.29 and Preauthorized Payments $1,065,000.00. Council Member Bushman seconded, motion carried. Adjournment: Council Member Shutran moved to adjourn at 7:13 pm.
