SPECIAL CALLED MEETING CITY COUNCIL MEETING April 2 , 2020 The Greenville City Council convened by teleconference on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. for a special called meeting. Mayor Dexter McLendon called the meeting to order. City Clerk-Treasurer Dee H. Blackmon called the roll and recorded the following members present: Mayor McLendon, Councilmembers Bryan Reynolds, Ed Sims, Tommy Ryan, Jimmy Lawson and Boris Thigpen. NEW BUSINESS: RESOLUTION 2020- 10. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CURFEW FOR THE CITY OF GREENVILLE TO MITIGATE THE SPREAD OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES. Councilmember Thigpen moved to adopt Resolution 2020-10 authorizing the Mayor to establish a curfew for the City of Greenville beginning April 3, 2020 from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. seven days a week and shall continue in effect until further notice. Councilmember Lawson seconded the motion. Mayor McLendon called for a roll call vote. Mayor McLendon Yes Bryan Reynolds Yes Ed Sims Yes Tommy Ryan Yes Jimmy Lawson Yes Boris Thigpen Yes Mayor McLendon declared the motion carried with a unanimous vote of the council With no further business to come before the council, Councilmember Sims made a motion to adjourn . Councilmember Ryan seconded the motion. Mayor McLendon declared to meeting adjourned.
