March 8 , 2021
PUBLIC HEARING – 5:25 P.M.: TO RECEIVE PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING LOUNGE
RETAIL LIQUOR LICENSE FOR SHOW TIME, LLC D/B/A SHOW TIME .
A Public Hearing was held in the Council Chamber of City Hall on Monday, March 8, at 5:25 p.m. for
the purpose of receiving public opinion regarding the lounge retail liquor license for Show Time, LLC.
Mayor McLendon, stated for the record all councilmembers were present except Councilmember Ed
Sims and Boris Thigpen who were absent.
Mayor McLendon called for public comment. With no comments for or against the measure, Mayor
McLendon adjourned the public at 5:26 p.m.
The Greenville City Council convened at Beeland Park on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. for a
regular Council meeting. Mayor Dexter McLendon called the meeting to order. City Clerk-Treasurer
Dee H. Blackmon called the roll and recorded the following members present: Mayor McLendon,
Councilmembers Bryan Reynolds, Joseph West and Jae’Ques Brown. Councilmember Ed Sims and
Boris Thigpen were absent. Mayor McLendon led those attending in the Pledge of Allegiance to the
American Flag. Councilmember Brown delivered the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Mayor McLendon advised each councilmember had received for review a copy of the proposed
minutes for the Regular Council Meeting held on February 22, 2021. He asked if there were any
additions, deletions or amendments to the minutes as presented.
Councilmember Brown moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes and approve the
minutes for February 22, 2021, as drafted . Councilmember West seconded the motion. Mayor
McLendon announced the motion carried with a unanimous vote of the Council.
NEW BUSINESS:
RESOLUTION 2021-11. A RESOLUTION CONSIDERING THE ISSUANCE OF A LOUNGE
RETAIL LIQUOR – CLASS I (010) LIQUOR LICENSE FOR SHOW TIME, LLC d/b/a SHOW TIME.
Councilmember West moved to adopt Resolution 2021-11 approving issuance of a lounge
retail liquor license (010) for Show Time, LLC . Councilmember Brown seconded the motion.
Mayor McLendon announced the motion carried with a unanimous vote of the council.
APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURES:
Councilmember Reynolds made a motion to approve the following expenditures:
A. ALABAMA ADVANCED CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY - $1,250.00 (BUDGET ITEM)
POLICE ACADEMY – BRITNEY J. JOHNSON (POLICE DEPT.)
B. THE GREENVILLE STANDARD - $1,912.96
PUBLISH ORDINANCE 2021-01 FOR SOUTHERN LIGHT FRANCHISE
C. EMERGENCY REPORTING - $2,332.00 (BUDGETED ITEM)
FIRE REPORTING SOFTWARE ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION (FIRE DEPARTMENT)
D. MIDDLETON OIL - $1,100.50(BUDGETED ITEM)
500 GALLONS OF DIESEL FUEL FOR LANDFILL (SANITATION DEPT.)
E. MIDSOUTH PAVING - $1,041.95 (BUDGETED ITEM)
16.03 TONS OF ASPHALT FOR PATCHING (STREET DEPT.)
F. TEMPLE DISPLAY LTD - $3,453.65 (BUDGTED ITEM)
CHRISTMAS TREE PANEL EXTENSION (HORTICULTURE DEPT.)
Councilmember West seconded the motion. Mayor McLendon announced the motion passed with
unanimous vote of the Council.

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor McLendon announced the next regular council meeting will be held Monday, March 22, 2021 at
Beeland Park. With no further business or announcements, Mayor McLendon adjourned the meeting
at 5:34 p.m.
