Mr. Chris Conti will discuss the basics of the HOME Grant Application for 2025. The purpose of this public hearing is to disclose the borough’s intent to apply for a grant under the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s HOME Investment Partnership Program in the amount of $500,000. This grant would fund a single-family, owner occupied housing rehabilitation program. The program would benefit low-to-moderate income households. Repairs could include such items as roofing, siding, windows and wiring, furnace replacement and installation of hand rails. If the borough/town would undertake activities that results in the displacement of families or individuals, then the policy for minimizing such displacement would be in effect. The borough is responsible for replacing all low and moderate income housing units that may be demolished or converted as a result of the use of HOME funds.
