Motion to amend the Police Civil Service Rules and Regulations by changing Section 4.4 “Age and Residency Requirements.” to read: “All applicants must have reached their eighteenth (18th) birthday before the deadline for submitting completed applications. Currently, there is no residency requirement.” B. Motion to amend the Police Civil Service Rules and Regulations by changing Section 4.5 “Geneal Qualifications.” to read: “a) Possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED). b) Enrolled in Act120 training under the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Act (MPOETC) 53 Pa. C.S.A. §2161 et seq. c) Be a United States Citizen. d) Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer. e) Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.” 1 9.
