Call to Order Paul Hamill, Mayor 2. Roll Call: Paul Hamill, Mayor Linda Zuschlag, Deputy Mayor Tracy Beil, Councilor Anne Butcher, Councilor Jean Carr, Councilor Sean Hall, Councilor Evan Hereford, Councilor Ashton Martin, Junior Councilor Jasson W. Urey, Town Manager James E. Council President Hamill provided statements regarding the purpose of this scheduled public hearing. Council President Hamill explained that this public hearing was only to hear public comments regarding the proposed amendment(s) to the town of Greenville CR-1 Zoning District. The proposed amendments are to allow a Recreational Vehicle Park in the CR-1 Zoning District. 6. Public Comments Mr. Chad Bromley questioned where this change would stop and believes the town is opening the door for unnecessary issues in the future. Ms. Vicki Poe asked questions about the proposed size, location, and type of park. When the Zoning Map was presented, she asked if this was the only area that was zoned CR-1. Council responded. Mr. Russell Poe asked how much more property the owner of the proposed site has and if it could be turned into a larger park later. Council responded. 1 Town of Greenville Public Hearing Minutes 05-5-21 Ms. Karen Shilling stated she is a regular camper at many recreational vehicle parks and has seen problems develop at many of them. She questioned who would take care of refuse at the park, what type of security will be provided, and if the owners would ensure that kids would not show up with tents and have parties. Her main concern is how the park will be maintained. Mr. Joel Rinella stated the park would have four stalls and only short-term rental. This park will be nothing like a KOA, with no campfires. Campers would pull in, hook up to utilities, walk around town, and leave. 7.
