MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING
OF THE TOWN OF GREENVILLE COUNCIL
HELD IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Monday, October 28, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.
1. Call to Order Paul Hamill, Mayor
If you are a visitor to council, we ask you to please sign in at the door and
turn off all cellular telephones. The public was reminded that they may be
audio or video recorded during the meeting.
2. Attendance: Paul Hamill, Mayor
Jean Fisher-Carr, Deputy Mayor

Jasson W. Urey, Town Manager

3. Mayor Paul Hamill read the following statement:
The purpose of this public hearing is to take comments on the proposed Summary of the
2025 Budget, which has been available for inspection since October 14, 2024.
4. Town Manager Mr. Urey presented a summary of the Proposed 2025 Budget.
5. Public Comments – Mr. Joel Rinella, 424 South Main Street, was mystified as the
advertisement of the Public Hearing did not include a presentation of the summary and asked why
it was not billed as such. He also stated the property tax reduction reinforces the need to invest the
sale proceeds in a foundation for the future. Mr. Rinella asked why there was no funding set aside
for the Home Rule Charter Review Committee.
6. Adjournment Having no other comments, the Public Hearing was adjourned at 7:22 p.m.
