OF THE TOWN OF GREENVILLE COUNCIL
HELD IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS
Monday, March 14, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.

4. Public Comments (5 minutes time limit)
Resident – Mr. Mitchel Henderson introduced himself and announced he was running for District
10 Representative.
Non-Resident – None.
5. Approval of Minutes
Motion by Councilor Zuschlag, seconded by Councilor Butcher that the February 14, 2022,
regular meeting minutes be approved as presented. Motion carried 7-0.
6. Approval of Budget Report and Bills for Approval
Payroll $197,844.36

Motion by Councilor Hall, seconded by Councilor Hereford to approve the monthly budget report
and the bills as presented. Motion carried 7-0.
7. Approval of Department and Staff Reports
A. Financials – February 2022
B. Code – February 2022
C. Fire – February 2022
D. Police – February 2022
Motion by Councilor Hereford, seconded by Councilor Butcher to accept the monthly reports as
presented. Motion carried 7-0.
8. Unfinished Business
A. Motion by Councilor Butcher, seconded by Councilor Carr to authorize the Mayor to sign
the letter of support for the estimated taxes based off of income and expenses data
provided by the Greenville Senior Housing, LP project located at 35 W. Main Street.
Motion carried 7-0.
9. New Business
A. Motion by Councilor Beil, seconded by Councilor Zuschlag to adopt Resolution 2022-02
for the sale of the 2003 GMC Dump Truck. Motion carried 7-0.
B. Motion by Councilor Beil, seconded by Councilor Butcher to adopt Resolution 2022-03,
Disposal of Common Records. Motion carried 7-0.
C. Motion by Councilor Zuschlag, seconded by Councilor Carr to award the bid for the
Library Upgrade Project to McCurley Houston Electric for the electrical contract in the
amount of $49,500. Motion carried 7-0.
D. Motion by Councilor Hereford, seconded by Councilor Butcher to award the bid for the
Library Upgrade Project to Grahamboys, LLC for the General contract in the amount of
$57,469. Motion carried 7-0.

E. Motion by Councilor Butcher, seconded by Councilor Carr to award the Tree Removal
Project at Riverside Park to Rick’s Tree Service in the amount of $23,850. Motion carried
7-0.
F. Motion by Councilor Hall, seconded by Councilor Zuschlag to hire Jordan Turner from
the Greenville Civil Service Commission Certified List of 3 as Part-Time Firefighter with
the Greenville Fire Department contingent on passing the physical and psychological
examinations. Motion carried 7-0.
G. Motion by Councilor Beil, seconded by Councilor Butcher to hire Ryan Braund from the
Greenville Civil Service Commission Certified List of 3 as Part-Time Firefighter with the
Greenville Fire Department contingent on passing the physical and psychological
examinations. Motion carried 7-0.
H. Motion by Councilor Butcher, seconded by Councilor Carr to hire Autumn Johnson from
the Greenville Civil Service Commission Certified List of 3 Part-Time Firefighter with the
Greenville Fire Department contingent on passing the physical and psychological
examinations. Motion carried 7-0.
10. Council Comments
Councilor Hall expressed his excitement seeing that Hudson had secured the properties as the
deed transfers were on the monthly report.
Councilor Beil discussed the three candidates hired as Part-Time Firefighter and asked about their
qualifications.
11. Mayor Comments
Mayor Hamill discussed the upcoming Mercer County’s Borough Association Dinner/Meeting.
Mayor Hamill asked for comments on the location and menu for the event.
12. Town Manager Comments
Mr. Urey had no comments.
13. Adjournment
Motion by Councilor Beil, seconded by Councilor Butcher to adjourn this session of Council at
6:45pm. Motion carried 7-0.
